Giles is the Porfolio Manager for the US Stars strategy and is a Senior Analyst for the World Stars Global Equity strategy. His focus is in the Technology, Internet and Media sectors. His deep knowledge, understanding of the industries and rigorous analysis drives our research and delivers value to our client’s portfolios. He is a stock-picker with a fundamental bottom-up driven approach.
Prior to joining J. Stern & Co, Giles was an Investment Analyst at Henderson Global Investors where he specialised for many years in the Technology sector. During his time there, he also worked on the Henderson Global Growth fund with a focus on the Consumer sector.
He has also worked at Credit Suisse and HSBC in their investment banking divisions. A British National, Giles read Law at the University of Edinburgh (including an exchange year at the Universite Paul Cezanne Aix-Marseille III) where he graduated with an LLB Hons (2:1). He also has an Masters in Intellectual Property Law LLM (Merit) from University College London.
