Ronald Dooley

Principal

Ron is the co-head of the firm’s North American business with more than 25 years of senior level financial, operating, and investment management experience.

Prior to joining J. Stern & Co. in 2023, Ron was the Chief Operating Officer and CFO of boutique equity asset manager Stewart Asset Management, were he led the management committee and was responsible for all financial and operating aspects of the business. Ron has also held senior level positions in consulting whilst working with Alvarez & Marsal and in corporate and investment banking with Scotia Capital. He has extensive experience leading teams of professionals through complex restructuring and M&A transactions and executing on performance improvement initiatives. Ron is a Canadian national living in New York City since 1997. He holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and a BSc. in finance from the University of Montana.
